A revolution is coming in the new season of Handmaid's Tale!
The official full-length trailer for season 3 has dropped and we're getting a few clues on what to expect from the new season. It picks up after Offred chose to remain in the oppressove regime of Gilead in an attempt to save her daughter.
June appears to try and enlist former enemies Aunt Lydia (Ann Dowd) and Serena Waterford (Yvonne Strahovski) as new allies in her battle against the patriarchal society.
'Heresy, that's what you get punished for,' June narrates as the trailer opens.
'Not for being part of the resistance, because officially there is no resistance. Not for helping people escape, because officially there is no such thing as escape,'
Hatching her plan, June continues, 'If I'm going to change things, I'm going to need allies: Allies with power,' as Aunt Lydia and Serena appear.
The trailer also shows June reuniting and having a flirty exchange with love interest Nick.
June's friend Moira (Samira Wily), who successfully fled the regime to Canada, also makes an appearance.
In a tense exchange with Serena, June is seen telling her 'As Mrs Waterford you have influence,' to which she responds 'Up to a point.'
The duo smoke cigarettes as they appear to conspire while sitting alongside each other by an indoor pool.
The end of the trailer shows June and Serena standing in a burning building.
The new season comes out June 3rd.
