The final season of Game of Thrones isn't too far away - and while the show has officially stopped filming HBO has moved on to production of the prequel to the show.
It still has no working title, but they have just revealed details about the cast.
According to E! News, Naomi Ackie, Denise Gough, Jamie Campbell Bower, Sheila Atim, Ivanno Jeremiah, Georgie Henley, Alex Sharp and Toby Regbo will join Naomi Watts and Josh Whitehouse in the Game of Thrones prequel pilot.
The unnamed prequel will be created and written by George R. R. Martin and Jane Goldman, and will be set thousands of years before all the events portrayed in Game of Thrones. Which means there might be no dragons in the show:
Westeros is a very different place. There's no King's Landing. There's no Iron Throne. There are no Targaryens — Valyria has hardly begun to rise yet with its dragons and the great empire that it built. We're dealing with a different and older world and hopefully that will be part of the fun of the series.
We can't wait to see it! But unfortunately it looks like we'll have to wait a while. The series isn't scheduled to air until 2020 at the earliest.
