Hiliary Barry, Jeremy Wells, Daniel Faitaua, and Jesse Mulligan are among the many who have paid tribute to the late TVNZ news presenter Greg Boyed.
"Our thoughts are with his family, his friends, and loved ones," Daniel Faitaua said esterday, during the 1 News midday bulletin and dressed in all black, visibly upset and fighting back tears.
During Seven Sharp last night, Hiliary Barry and Jeremy Wells paid tribute on behalf of their team with this heartfelt message:
In an emotional goodbye, Jesse Mulligan also spoke about his friendship with Greg saying:
He was a hugely popular guy in the office, and he was at his best as a newsreader and political interviewer. He was so funny, he was just cracking us up all the time.
Jesse also talked about the moment he learned off his death and how he was reminded of "just how many people cared about him."
I was surrounded by journalists at the time - they're some of the toughest, most cynical people you'll meet - and everyone was just so genuinely shocked and upset.
There were tears, I tell you, in every newsroom in the country this morning.
Our thoughts go out to all of Greg's family and friends.
