Geodie Shore star Gary "Gaz" Beadle and his girlfriend Emma McVey welcomed a baby boy last month, but the two have now revealed the birth was anything but smooth sailing.
One month after the birth of Chester Raymond, the couple have opened up about his birth in OK! Magazine.
Speaking of her pregnancy, Emma, 25, said that she had received extreme backlash online from followers who assumed she had an easy birth.
"People were tweeting me saying, 'We'd all love an easy pregnancy and easy birth', when they had no idea what happened or what my birth was like," she said.
"I basically made smoothies and shakes to get everything in after Chester's feed, but I got hammered for that. Would I have got hammered if I was eating a pizza?"
Of her birth plan, Emma said:
"We’re not going too much into it, as it wasn’t what we wanted. I ended up having to have a C-section," she revealed.
To which Gaz added, "I was fighting back tears as it was happening and I was thinking to myself, 'don’t cry!' I was turning away as it was happening. It’s the weirdest thing. It’s just mad that there’s a little human. Honestly, it still feels weird."
Post giving birth, Emma quickly snapped back to her old weight within 10 days, which she thanked all to Herbalife, however, online trolls were quick to criticise the model.
Defending his girlfriend, Gaz took to Instagram hitting back at the angry commenters, saying, "All the negative comments are coming from people who when pregnant used the excuse to eat everything under the sun because they were (eating for 2) had a kid then realised sh*t I can't shift this weight…
"No one is saying bad stuff to you for feeding your baby unhealthy sh*t throughout your pregnancy (takeaways, chocolate, pizza) yet you hate on someone eating healthy. Jesus."
