Planning on wearing glitter at the next festival? we've got bad news

If you were planning on prettying up your face with glitter for R&V you might want to think again...

Everyone loves to get the glitter out for festivals, whether it's on your face, boobs, or beards, you can't go wrong. Now enviromental scientists are wanting us to re-think using it though because apparently, even though it makes everything look amazing, glitter isn't so great for the environment.

Professor Richard Thompson found that one third of fish caught in the U.K had traces of the little peices of plastic that make up glitter.

I was quite concerned when somebody bought my daughters some shower gel that had glitter particles in it

That stuff is going to escape down the plughole and potentially enter the environment.

Even our very own  Dr. Trisia Farrelly from Massey University thinks that glitter should be banned so there might be day soon when glitter becomes no more!
