Despite Justin Timberlake's massive success as a child-star, to his huge Hollywood career now, he isn't too eager for his son Silas to follow in his footsteps.
“You go through your life with your own traumas, big and small, and think, ‘It’s not that bad, I have a lot to be thankful for, my parents did the best they could,'” Timberlake told The Hollywood Reporter. “But then you have a child of your own, and suddenly it opens all the floodgates, and you’re like, ‘No, no, no! That childhood trauma really did f—k me up!'”
Justin never really went into detail about the trauma but he did say that growing up in the spotlight was never easy, especially during his NSYNC years.
JT says that it continues to be a struggle but now he's finding it even harder to tour because it keeps him away from his wife, Jessica Biel, and their (almost) 2-year-old son, Silas.
“I think we can all agree that I did not have a normal childhood … I have some faint images from my childhood, but no, I can’t really remember not being famous.”
It's never easy growing up in front of the world's eyes.
We don't blame him for wanting to keep Silas out of the showbiz spotlight.
