Former All Black Dan Carter has reportedly been caught by police drink-driving in Paris, according to French magazine Closer.
It's been reported the Racing 92 star was almost twice the legal limit when stopped near the Champs-Elysees on Wednesday night (local time), testing 0.98g/litre of blood. The legal limit is 0.5g/litre.
The magazine reported he had forgotten his driver's licence but was allowed by police to return home, and will appear in court at a later date.
Carter's New Zealand-based agent was not immediately available for comment.
The first five-eighth is in the second season of a stint at Racing 92.
The 34-year-old shifted to France following the 2015 World Cup where he played a starring role, ending his record-breaking career at 112 Tests.
