Look, we can’t all be an absolute wiz in the kitchen, and our girl Zendaya has proven that she is just like us when it comes to her cooking skills.
She shared a series of Instagram posts where her kitchen nightmare took a turn for the worse.
It all started with a close-up of her sliced finger, wrapped in a bandage with the caption: “See now this is why I don't cook.”
Unfortunately for Zendaya, the bandage didn't seem to be much help, as she later revealed the cut to her finger ended in a trip to the hospital.
In another Instagram story, she shared an update on her troubles, showing what seemed to be her injured finger being stitched up.
She captioned the post, “Baby's first stitches,” along with “back to never cooking again.”

Luckily she didn’t make the hospital trip on her own. Darnell Appling, her friend and assistant, was there for some comedic relief, tagging Zendaya on his own Instagram story with the caption: "Never a dull moment with @zendaya, no pun intended."
The news of this injury comes as no surprise to fans of Zendaya and her boyfriend Tom Holland.
Back in December 2021, the couple revealed who the better cook is, in an interview with Heart.
Zendaya suggested that it may be a team effort. "I think we'd do a good job together." However, Tom went on to say the couple “can’t do it together,” because Zendaya's prepping methods are usually a near miss of injury.
Well, it seems like she might be reassessing her chopping skills.
Here’s hoping those stitches heal nicely and our girl Zendaya signs up for some cooking lessons in the near future!
