New Zealand chocolate superpower Whittaker's have finally announced their long-speculated Oat Milk flavour is real and it’s coming soon.
Rumours first started swirling last month when, as the Spinoff reported, an avid fan on Twitter spotted a Whittaker's Oat Milk bar pop up in a Google search. Spinoff didn’t find anything conclusive but they were right - it is coming.
Whittaker's have just announced, via a press release, that the plant-based Oat Milk flavour will be available across the country on Monday next week, the 18th of July.
“We’re delighted to have been able to produce a plant-based chocolate created from the best New Zealand oats, just as our milk chocolate is created with all New Zealand dairy products,” says Megan Sinclair, the product development manager at Whittaker’s.
Megan also says it’s not just vegans or oat milk lovers who will enjoy the new flavour, but anyone and everyone who enjoys a bit of chocolate for a snack.
The flavour will be a permanent part of Whittaker’s range, so it seems like vegans across the country can rejoice - the dark days are over!
