The wildly graphic sex scene gone wrong on 'The Boys' is messing people up

"My penis is still numb."

The superhero satire series 'The Boys' is already well known for its love of gore, sex and generally taking the piss, but the first 15 mins of season three have left fans in total shock.

A horrifying and very graphic penis accident (look, we don't know how else to put it, okay? You'll see) has got viewers sharing their disgust and horror online, because what else are they supposed to do?!

Warning: Spoilers ahead
(Also, if this makes you want to spew, you've been warned)

The start of the first episode depicts a sex scene between a superhero named Termite and his partner. In a bid to spice things up in the bedroom, Termite, who has the power to shrink himself down to a tiny size, crawls inside his lover's genitals.

Yep, you're reading that right - and yep, it does get worse.

Everything's going swimmingly (somehow?) until Termite accidentally sneezes, immediately returning to his normal human size and literally exploding through his penis and killing him.

We're not going to show you the footage here, but you watch the show on Amazon Prime, if you think you can stomach it!

If you're feeling a little queasy just thinking about this batshit concept - you're not the only one having a physical reaction.

"Not gonna lie my penis still numb after watching the first episode of the boys, that Termite scene is really something," one Twitter user wrote.

"Why did I need to see the inside of a penis? I could have lived my whole life without seeing that genuinely traumatised," said another.

"The craziest f*cking moment in any TV series that’s ever been on. EVER," another Tweet read. "Most horrendous death I've ever seen on TV."

Showrunner Erick Kripke, the man behind all this, said he thought the scene was so gory and messed up that they wouldn't be able to show it.

"To me, that’s one of the craziest things not just we have done but I think anyone has done. I mean who sits down and figures out how to pull off that sequence?"

Good question!
