The decision to split the fourth season into two parts has various plot threads left dangling by that intense ending.

After the dark history between Eleven and Vecna is uncovered fans are theorising how a final battle between the two characters will play out.
The volume 2 trailer teases us with a dark end to season 4, and there are plenty of signs that not everyone will make it out alive.
The creators of the show, the Duffer brothers, have spoke to TVLine about the upcoming end to season 4 and their comments aren’t easing our minds whatsoever.
But who won’t make it?
I mean, Robin saying "I have this dreadful feeling things might not work out for us this time," should be a dead giveaway that some characters will most likely not make it to the final season.
Could it really end with all of our favourite heroes surviving and defeating Vecna?
Unfortunately for fans, season four is more likely to have a tragic finale that will definitely tear at our heartstrings and I don’t think any of us are ready for what’s coming!
