Stranger Things fans have a common complaint with season 4 and they can’t let it go

Stranger things have happened...

Stranger Things season four has dropped on Netflix, and fans have already begun their binge, but many have already spotted a pretty obvious flaw with the characters ages.

We were treated to the first season of the show wayyyy back in 2016, and the last season was almost three years ago!

Thanks a lot, COVID.

Now the cast is about six years older than they were when the show began, yet they still play school-aged kids in the show.

Some were as young as 12 in the first season, including Millie Bobby Brown and Noah Schnapp. Now the their ages range between 17 and 20.

So you’re telling me you were all cool with 'the Upside Down' and the supernatural three years ago… Now a few teens who hit puberty is unbelievable?

Of course, the cast was aware of the situation and tried their best to work around it.

Noah Schnapp, who plays Will Byers, addressed the age gap in a recent interview saying, "I remember in season two they told me you need to lower the pitch of your voice, you have to speak at a different level and stand shorter, I was like, 'I can't do that, I'm not like that anymore.”

Millie Bobby Brown, on the other hand, was gobsmacked when she discovered her character was actually much younger than she thought.

Surely we are all a bit confused about our ages after losing those years to the pandemic, right?
