Still got your iPhone from 2012? Here's where to trade your dusty tech for some spending money

ngl, I have a WHOLE draw full so I might just be in the money.

Have a pile of old tech gathering dust? Now might be the time to cash in on those ancient and forgotten treasures.

Nah, I’m not talking about trying to sell your old iPhone 4 on Facebook marketplace. Noel Leeming is asking Kiwis to trade in their old tech for some cash.

They're not just after our old smartphones from 2012, they're taking laptops, tablets, and smartwatches too.

Kiwis can head to the Moorup trade section of their website for a quick device assessment - answering a few q’s about your old thing - before getting an instant gift card to spend on new tech at Noel Leeming once your device has been approved.

At the moment their approved product list covers the big names like Apple, Samsung, Google, Oppo and Microsoft with plans to add more brands and products to the list later down the line.

Noel Leeming Technology Lead, Jason Bell says: “Right now, customers are counting every extra dollar, and our trade-in programme may be all it takes to help customers get one step closer to their next device.”

“Our mission is to extend the lives of electronic devices, doing our part to make the planet more sustainable and helping customers save money,” says Moorup’s Chief Partnerships Officer – Retail, Peter Solomon.

Welp, I guess it’s time to go dig out and dust off the screens cause I’ve been eyeing up a new lappy for ages!
