Fans are calling Teddy Swims' cover of 'Cruel Summer' the best of any Taylor Swift song

Swifties, you be the real judge!

Teddy Swims is officially Swiftie-approved after nailing a cover of Taylor Swift's ‘Cruel Summer’ on BBC Radio 1.

Teddy brought his unique raspy tones to the beautiful piano-led rendition of the hit track off Swift’s album ‘Lover’.

Fans are absolutely loving Teddy's take on the track.

"Obsessed with Teddy Swims! This cover is probably the best I've heard, and I've always wondered how it would sound with a dude's voice," raved one fan on Reddit.

"Mind-blowing. I didn't know this guy, but this is hands down the BEST cover of any Taylor Swift song," said another.

A third fan agreed: "This song is a total bop, and I often forget how amazing the lyrics are, especially on this cover!"

We had the pleasure of experiencing Teddy's powerhouse vocals right here at Edge HQ late last year.

His live rendition of 'Lose Control' had the whole office hooked.

And speaking of which, while he was here, Teddy came in and spoke to our Edge Breakfast's Clint, Meg and Dan about his latest track and got real about his emotional performances.

On not being afraid to let his emotions out while performing, Teddy told Meg: "Everything is just the fullest feeling of every feeling that I have. There's no 90%, you know?"

He added: "It is tough sitting through some of those things sometimes, but I'm very grateful that things happen to me sometimes at a show and people picked up the words that I'm saying, but that kind of makes it worse sometimes 'cause they love you and they wanna sing it with you and I'm just like 'why do I deserve this?'"

"I DO THE BEST JOB IN THE WORLD WITH THE BEST PALS IN THE WORLD AND EVERY DAY I'M JUST LIKE IN AWE OF PEOPLE AND I COULDN'T BE HAPPIER."

Just like the rest of the world, we’re definitely eagerly awaiting what Teddy Swims has in store for us next. Can I suggest a Teddy x Taylor collab?
