Kiwi reality star Harry Jowsey shares 'scary' health update, urges fans to 'go get checked'

“Be a little bit more responsible."

New Zealand reality TV star Harry Jowsey, known for his roles on 'Heartbreak Island' in 2018 and Netflix's 'Too Hot To Handle' in 2020, has shared a personal update on TikTok about his recent diagnosis with skin cancer.

In his video, Harry stressed the importance of wearing sunscreen after revealing that his doctors found “some skin cancer” on his shoulder.

“Please wear sunscreen. Please go get your skin checked,” he said.

“If you're a freckly little frog like me, go get a mole map and get your body checked because you never know.”

He said his spot had gone unnoticed for a year or two while he “had no idea”.

“Be a little bit more responsible because that’s what I’ve gotta do now and it’s very scary,” he added with the hope that his diagnosis may help his followers take their skin health more seriously.

Harry ensured “everything is all good” and “everything's going to be okay”.

In the comments, Harry updated fans that he is set to go in for surgery to remove the cancer on Wednesday (NZ time).

We wish all the best for Harry in his upcoming surgery and are glad to see he is using his platform to spread awareness on keeping sun safe.
