THIS IS NOT A DRILL! Teddy Swims just reposted The Edge Breakfast’s Dan Webby covering his song ‘Lose Control’.
As our resident vocalist, Dan jumped into the studio to record his killer pipes, taking on the challenge of hitting the riff of Teddy’s iconic chorus.
Almost immediately after Dan posted his cover to Insta, Teddy slid into the comments with a cheeky: “Yes, sir!! Give 'em hell.”
Teddy then reposted the clip to his own Insta story, writing: “I love him.”
**Cue Dan’s absolute freakout**
“We posted the video thinking he would never see it or especially repost it," Dan said. "But 3 minutes after the video was up he had shared it! Best moment of my life!"
Dan's comment section is flooded with people losing it over Dan’s natural talent.
“This might be Grammy-worthy,” one person wrote.
Another suggested: “Music video shoot in Clint’s pool?”
While a third said: “Teddy Swims’ new backup singer in the making?”
And of course, we love a supportive momma, with Dan’s mom Julie writing: “Yess!”
When Teddy visited New Zealand in September last year, he stopped by The Edge HQ to perform his hit songs ‘Lose Control’ and ‘Some Things I’ll Never Know’ live.
After the performance, he and Dan got chatting and the two even gave each other a huge hug.
So, are we witnessing Dan and Teddy’s besties' origin story in real-time? He better not leave us for any backup singer gigs…
