Taxi driver pleads not guilty of indecently assaulting Jay-Jay

The taxi driver accused of indecently assaulting Jay-Jay Harvey has pleaded not guilty.

Baljeet Singh, 27, appeared in the Auckland District Court on Thursday where his name suppression lapsed.

He elected to stand trial by jury on the charge of indecent assault and will next appear on March 28, 2018.

Harvey used her Facebook page in October to publicly accuse a taxi driver of assaulting her.

She took a two-week hiatus from broadcasting after the alleged incident and later announced she was leaving The Edge after working there for 23 years.
