Social media superstar William Waiirua & celebrity chef Nadia Lim are set to join this years Dancing with the Stars New Zealand, which is hosted by The Edge's very own, Sharyn Casey as well as Three's 7 Days comedian, Dai Henwood.
Waiirua, the full time morale booster from friendly Feilding, has used social media to drive his passion for helping people of all ages, gender and race to express themselves while living a happy and healthy life. Known for his original dance moves and signature mono-lens glasses, William is one to watch out for when he hits the DWTS dance floor in 2019, aiming to raise as much money as possible for his chosen charity, The Attitude Trust For People With Disabilities.
On committing to do the Mahi (the waltz, the quick step and the rest!) on the Dancing with the Stars d-floor this year William says:
Do the Mahi, get the treats.
As for celebrity chef and entrepreneur Nadia Lim is ready to add a bit of flavour to the DWTS dance floor in 2019, as she sets out to raise funds for her chosen charity, Garden to Table.
On swapping her chefs whites for sequins Nadia says:
My eighty year old self told me to do it! If there’s anything I’ve learnt, it’s that life is just a bunch of experiences, so why not?! I’m a sucker for a good challenge and it looks like so much fun. I’m expecting it’ll be hard work though! It’s been a long time since I was on the dance floor (of the university bar) back in my scarfie days where, believe it or not, I met my future husband, so I must have had at least one or two impressive moves!
Both Waiirua and Lim are to hit the dance floor with Newshub's Mike McRoberts, as well as ex Rugby League great, Manu Vatuvei & TV Presenter, Jude Dobson plus with yet to be announced celebs.
Check out Dancing with the Stars New Zealand, which kicks off on Three from Sunday April 14th. The show will play every Sunday at 7pm and Monday 7:30pm for this years season.
