Matthew Tyler Vorce has confirmed he and Billie Eilish have split amid wild cheating rumours doing the rounds online.
Matthew revealed the break-up on his Instagram Story, slamming Billie fans for accusing him of cheating.
“Nobody cheated on anyone,” he wrote.
Relationships end. Simple as that. Creating rumours and LYING on the internet is dangerous.
Matthew’s Instagram posts have been spammed with Billie’s fans tearing him a new one over their disapproval of the relationship.
We just gave it a cheeky check and they really aren’t holding back!
One Billie supporter wrote, “can't believe my Bils is finally free!”
“You ain’t nothing but a lost cause BYE BYEEEE,” another added.
A third simply put, “*spits on you*”
“The fact that thousands of people take time out of their day to write the most heinous things on someone they will never know’s posts is the most cowardly thing you can possibly do,” he wrote in another Story.
“Live your own life.”
So why has all this crazy drama and speculation come from a relationship Billie was clearly determined to keep quiet?
Well, it initially came from some fans finding the 10-year age gap between the pair a bit creepy, with Matthew being 30 years old and Billie being 20 (she was actually still 19 when they first got together).
Fans later discovered racist and homophobic social media posts from Matthew's past, that he has since apologised for.
Then came the cheating rumours.
A lot of these didn't have much evidence to back them up, with fans claiming he had a close friend who he was secretly in a relationship with while dating Billie.
The rumours sparked a fan effort to harass Matthew's social media accounts and leave nasty comments.
Now that the breakup is confirmed, the hardcore Billie fans who went in to bat for her might be thinking it's 'mission accomplished’, but we'd suggest if they really love Billie they stay out of her biz - she's a grown woman after all!
