Doja Cat claims she's "quitting" music following backlash from her Paraguay fans

“I f* quit, I can’t wait to f* disappear and I don’t need you to believe in me anymore."

Doja Cat has taken to Twitter on a rant, apologising to fans after not putting on a 'good enough show' in Brazil and then changing her name to "I quit".

The rant came after Doja fans complained about standing outside in the rain to meet the star after she had to cancel a show last minute due to a storm, only for the rapper to not appear.

In a series of tweets Doja wrote in response to the complains, she said "This s*** ain’t for me so I’m out. Y’all take care."

She posted to Twitter:

She continued on the rant, writing "I f* quit, I can’t wait to f* disappear and I don’t need you to believe in me anymore. Everything is dead to me, music is dead, and I’m a f* fool for ever thinking I was made for this is a f* nightmare. Unfollow me.”

The star shared the TikTok below prior to the show being cancelled.

This isn't the first time Doja has expressed her frustration surrounding the expectations of fame. Last year, following the release of her popular album Planet Her, she took to Instagram Live to rant about not having fun making music, and feeling the mounting pressure of fame.

“I don’t want to take fuckin’ pictures,” she said. “I feel pressured to do shit like that. I don’t want to do that. I want to be home. I wanna make music. I wanna play fuckin’ video games.”

She returned to Twitter yesterday, replying to an earlier tweet saying "I'm not sorry" with "I am".

She has also since posted a tweet about the passing of Foo Fighters member Taylor Hawkins, sending her condolences to his friends and family.

It seems she may have recovered from the situation and we're hoping that her tweets were in the heat of the moment because we couldn't face losing an artist like her!

Sending all of our love and positivity to Doja ❤️
