We all remember our old friend the Black and Blue or White and Gold dress that sparked some heated debates on the internet.
People are picking their brains apart to try and figure out what number is at the centre of a new optical illusion.
The image shows a black and white circle with a number hidden in it - the question is, what is the number?
Initially, we saw 45283.
But on closer inspection it looks as though it's 3452839 - at least to some people...
The original tweet has attracted 18,000 replies of people spiralling as to what the number actually is.
One person shared "45 283...and what's the catch? Should I book an appointment with my GP?"
It seems as though the number is dependent on your individual contrast sensitivity.
According to Vision Centre "Contrast sensitivity is the ability to distinguish between an object and the background behind it"
Contrast sensitivity is important in low contrast situations, and if yours is poor you may be prone to accidents when driving in the fog or stepping off a kerb, for example.
Safe to say if you didn't see any numbers in the image, you may want to get that looked at...
Either way, we're confused now. Thanks again internet.
