Over the years, Instagram has received a ton of heat for giving updates that users hate. Instashopping, Reels, and removing the chronological order just to name a few.
The app is notorious for allegedly stealing from other apps (like when insta-stories happened after Snapchat was hitting its peak).
Adam Mosseri (the head of Instagram) released a video explaining what they are currently testing. In his latest post on Twitter, he said,
"We’re starting to test the ability to switch between three different views on your home screen (two of which would give you the option to see posts in chronological order)"
The three new feeds are called Home, Following, and Favourites.
Home - This will be similar to your current feed right now
Following - A chronological list that only has people that you follow on it
Favourites - Anything you have selected as a 'must-see'
Mosseri hopes that we'll see these new changes within the first half of the year as it's only at the testing stages right now.
We can't wait to have our Instagram feeds back in chronological order! Here's hoping this update comes sooner rather than later.
