This TikTok hack is scientifically proven to help you get to sleep faster

A TikToker reckons they've found a clever hack to calm you down and get you to sleep in no time. Best of all, it's actually backed by science.

According to TikToker @heyfrankiesimmons (Frankie Simmons) - all you have to do is pop an icepack onto your chest for about 15 minutes and you’ll be asleep in no time.

“A couple of years ago, it was a very regular occurrence for me to wake up at 4am with anxiety all the time.” Frankie said.

“I’d have to pull myself out of bed and do all this breathwork and energy work, and tea drinking, and like spend forever trying to calm myself down and go back to sleep.”

Here's the science behind it. The icepack helps to cool down the vagus nerve, which is one of the longest nerves in the body. It’s controlls your parasympathetic nervous system, which is essentially how you calm down.
