In the latest update of the #FreeBritney movement, Jamie Spears is petitioning to end her conservatorship.
After 13 years, Britney Spears' father has stated Britney may no longer need a conservatorship.
"Recent events related to this conservatorship have called into question whether circumstances have changed to such an extent that grounds for establishment of a conservatorship may no longer exist," states the filing submited by Spears.
"As Mr Spears has said again and again, all he wants is what is best for his daughter. If Ms Spears wants to terminate the conservatorship and believes that she can handle her own life, Mr Spears believes that she should get that chance."
Matthew Rosengart, Britney Spears' attorney, says this is a massive victory writing the filing "represents another legal victory for Britney Spears – a massive one – as well as vindication for Ms. Spears."
The news comes just a month after Jamie Spears agreed to step down as Britney's conservator.
