OnlyFans just revealed it'll be banning accounts that contain "sexually explicit content" starting in October. Basically the accounts that made it rich.
Nude pics and videos will still be allowed, "provided they’re consistent with OnlyFans’ policy". Only nudity that is not sexually explicit will still be allowed.
"Effective 1 October, 2021, OnlyFans will prohibit the posting of any content containing sexually-explicit conduct. In order to ensure the long-term sustainability of the platform, and to continue to host an inclusive community of creators and fans, we must evolve our content guidelines," the company said. "Creators will continue to be allowed to post content containing nudity as long as it is consistent with our Acceptable Use Policy."
Apparently OnlyFans is struggling to draw in new investors, even though it's predicted to make a staggering $12.5 billion USD next year. Now that's a lot of moolah!
OnlyFans has more than 130 million users, and many of them are adult content creators. OnlyFans takes 20 percent commission from each creators' earnings.
Unfortunately for some of us - the days of making bank are sadly coming to an end.
