The Spice Girls Have Teased Brand New Music

Following the 25th anniversary of the girl group’s breakthrough single, ‘Wannabe’ the band will be releasing their first new music in over a decade.

Come July 8th, 25 years will have passed since the iconic pop-song was first released and to mark the occasion the band are releasing a brand-new EP on vinyl and cassette titled ‘Wannabe25’ which will feature three different versions of the original song as well as a previously UNRELEASED track called ‘Feed Your Love.’

The EP will be released digitally on the 9th of July, with the vinyl and cassette following on the 23rd – currently available for Pre-Order.

Along with the release of the EP, the band are also launching the #IAmASpiceGirl campaign with the goal to bring out “the Spice Girl within all of us.” Fans can send in their videos and messages for the band via socials using the hashtag or email submissions to spicegirls@umusic.com.

In a joint statement, the girls said “The Spice Girls belong to everyone and that’s why we want to mark 25 years of Wannabe by  celebrating our incredible fans.”

The iconic 1996 debut single for the band, ‘Wannabe’ topped the charts in 37 countries, and Spice Girls’ debut album Spice went on to sell more than 31 million copies worldwide – solidifying it as the best-selling album of all time by a female group. The girls have since gone on to sell more than 90 million records around the globe, with this upcoming release sure to increase that number.
