According to Britney Spears' former estate manager Andrew Wallet, Britney's conservatorship could be in place for the rest of her life.
If you're not up to speed with the Britney situation, fans have been concerned for her well-being for quite some time now. She has been under a conservatorship since 2008, meaning she doesn't have control over many aspects of her life including making her own legal and financial decisions.
The 'Free Britney' Movement has been going on for years now, but despite her fan's concerns, her former estate manager Andrew Wallet recently told the Daily Mail that her conservatorship is in place "for a good reason."
He said, "Britney is in a conservatorship for good reason but a lot of the Free Britney people have no experience with the law.
"These legal proceedings are complex and people jump to conclusions. Their perception is so wrong but you can’t go and tell them why because a lot of it is confidential."
Wallet added, "It is not in Britney’s best interests to be outside the conservatorship but there’s a lot of politics involved.
Other people can be in a conservatorship their whole lives. I’m not saying that’s going to be Britney but it could happen to her.
This doesn't seem like a very straight forward situation considering it's been going on for years, but we do hope Britney is okay.
