Just when you thought travel wouldn't be possible for the rest of the year, it turns out Bali could reopen to tourists as early as October!
Back in March the Indonesian foreign affairs minister began travel restrictions that meant only Indonesian citizens, diplomats and family members would be able to enter the country.
Fast forward to now and COVID-19 has so far, been successfully controlled and now the tourism ministry is looking to get things going again!
On Friday Bali only had 343 coronavirus cases and four deaths.
If the NZ government makes Bali part of the proposed international travel bubble, perhaps our dreams of travelling in 2020 are still a reality.
A much needed tropical holiday could only be a few months away!
