This is an Edge official PSA: some sketchy Apple ID scam has hit and we've got all the info on how best to avoid it!
Loads of iPhone users in NZ have reported receiving a strange text message asking them to verify their Apple ID account details.
The texts appear to have come from the number 365, telling people they've been locked out of their Apple account, then asking them to verify their details.
One way to tell that the text is a hoax is in the web url - the word "Apple" is clearly spelt wrong:
It's a perfect example of scammers using clone websites that are designed to capture your credit card details.
Apple has advised people not enter any personal information and to delete the message immediately.
