Married At First Sight Australia bride Cyrell Paule tearfully recounted a terrifying ordeal in which she claims she was attacked and called a "black monkey" by café staff.
Paule and her partner, Love Island star Eden Dally, took to social media after an incident which culminated in a violent brawl that was caught on camera.
"So I'm a little shaken up right now, because me and Eden were about to leave Shoal Bay," Paule explained.
"We just had lunch and this lady... thought it would be hilarious while I'm walking down the street to turn around and call me a f**king black" she continued, choking back tears.
Dally stepped in to continue the story, telling the camera: "She called her a black monkey, came outside and tried to fight her.
"So I walked in the café and said 'what's the need to be racist and call people black monkeys?' then she grabbed Cyrell by the throat and pushed her and I had to defend Cyrell..." he said.
"You're a f**king embarrassment," Paule chimed in tearfully.
"At the end of the day, we're still human beings. Shame on you all."
According to the Daily Mail, a staff member at the Pelican Café "bizarrely posed as a police officer" and denied Paule's allegations before abruptly ending the call.
Paule thanked her followers for their support an in Instagram post that saw many of her fellow MAFS cast mates comment with words of encouragement.
"RACISM does NOT have a place in Australia. Even though you guys are shaken up, you handled it well. I'm proud to be your friend," wrote MAFS groom Billy Vincent.
