The Jeremy Kyle Show has been pulled today after a guest died shortly after filming.
ITV in the UK have confirmed the episode wouldn't air. An ITV spokeswoman said: ‘Everyone at ITV and The Jeremy Kyle Show is shocked and saddened at the news of the death of a participant in the show a week after the recording of the episode they featured in and our thoughts are with their family and friends.
‘ITV will not screen the episode in which they featured. ‘Given the seriousness of this event, ITV has also decided to suspend both filming and broadcasting of The Jeremy Kyle Show with immediate effect in order to give it time to conduct a review of this episode of the show.’
The guest was said to have been left ‘sobbing and distraught’ after his appearence on the show where he allegedly failed a lie detector test to do with being faithful to his partner.
Fans then realised that every episode of the show had been removed from ITV's Hub of shows.
An industry insider told The Sun everyone involved in the show completely understands the need for an investigation.
‘It’s everyone’s worst nightmare, and something that is taken extremely seriously by all involved,’ they explained. ‘Jeremy and the team are extremely proud of the show and the aftercare which guests receive, and in 14 years on air there has never been an incident like this. ‘It’s very saddening, but of course all involved understand that an investigation needs to take place before any more decisions can be taken about the future.’
