Omg an immersive Harry Potter-themed train is coming to New Zealand

Harry Potter fans, get ready for more Potter (who are we kidding? You're always ready for more Potter). Wellington is getting a bit of a treat this July. A Wizarding Academy Express.

Held on a literal steam train, the Wizarding Academy Express will depart from Wellington train station, with each carriage a ‘house’ that has both a captain and professor on board. There are six different carriages, each with their own personality after which it was named (eg. Longmagriff who is whimsical and creative).

The train trip is an hour and a half and will take witches and wizards through a variety of magical lessions which include spell casting and potion classes.

Held on Saturday, 13 July, there are four different sessions: 9:25am, 11:15am, 1:10pm and 3:10pm.

There are different levels of tickets that you can get. The general allows for the immersive experience as well as a souvenir, the premium also includes a Saremcroft Wand and the VIW carriage also includes Saremcroft butter ale and is a smaller carriage so you’ll get more attention (lol more attention, yes plz).

You can even buy freakin' robes when you buy tickets!

Tickets are on sale now so you probably want to get in and grab yours ASAP.
