Quite possibly our favourite TV drama of all time, Grey's Anatomy, made history last week by becoming the longest-running primetime medical drama ever - with 332 episodes!
Can you believe it's been 14 years since our screens were graced by McDreamy?!
To celebrate the record-breaking episode, the creator - headwriter and executive producer - of the show, Shonda Rhimes, posted some behind-the-scenes flashback photos from the very first Grey's episode. Oh the nostalgia!
"A lot has happened in 332 episodes and tomorrow we become the longest-running primetime medical drama. People. You don't want to miss this!" she wrote in an Insta post promoting the record-breaking episode. She then followed it up with a series of her "favourite #BTS photos".
Shonda describes each moment and why they felt significant to her, like for a pic of Ellen Pompeo and T.R. Knight she wrote: “George and Meredith console each other after making mistakes. It’s their first moment of friendship and one of my favorite scenes of the pilot.”
Check out all the pics below:
We miss so many of these characters!!! Having such a long-running show def has it's downsides... But thanks for the trip down memory lane Shonda.
