Ed Sheeran has allegedly made his neighbours angry who claim that his 'wildlife pond' could be used as a swimming pool.
Ed received retrospective planning permission from his local council for the pond after it was built last year. However, that was on the condition that it should only be used for wildlife, rather than swimming or leisure. Tension has now risen among the neighbours, after the 28-year-old added steps and a jetty, ‘in the event of maintenance and emergency.’
Neighbour Andrew Cattee wrote to the council, arguing: ‘What was initially a wildlife pond has… become a recreational swimming pond, now with the addition of steps, handrail and jetty’. He added: ‘I am a huge supporter of the creation of ecosystems, especially when it comes to ponds and wetlands. ‘What I would hate to see here is that this is taken one step too far and transformed into an area of development that is for no gain to the wildlife that lives there but only to add to the amusement of those that reside at the property.’
Tony Robinson wrote: ‘I believe that the development of the site is more about creating an environment for a “wild lifestyle” rather than actual “wildlife”!’
Sounds like Ed's neighbours aren't too pleased with what they're seeing going on there...Ed, we hope you aren't breaking the rules!!
