Margot Robbie has just signed a contact to star in a live-action Barbie movie.
The star of Suicide Squad, I, Tonya and Mary Queen of Scots will also produce the movie through her production company, LuckyChap Entertainment in association with Warner Bros. & Mattel.
Margot told E! News playing with the doll promoted "confidence, curiosity and communication".
I'm so honoured to take on this role that I believe will have a tremendously positive impact on children.
Amy Schumer had previously been cast to portray Barbie, but dropped out in 2007 due to scheduling conflicts.
Hopefully Margot goes through with the deal this time around.
The movie is currently in development. No release date has been set - but it's expected to hit cinemas in 2020.
