Ariana Grande has just released her next massive hit '7 Rings' which is all anyone can talk about for a couple of different reasons.
Since being released over the weekend, the song has already broken Spotify's record for the most streams within 24 hours with 14,966,544 streams which Scooter Braun, Ariana's manager, couldn't help but celebrate.
However, at the same time, the song has come under fire with some saying the song is guilty of cultural appropriation with the lyrics "You like my hair? Gee, thanks, just bought it."
Ariana seemed to ignore the backlash until she posted, and then deleted, this story to Instagram:
From her response, fans were upset that Ariana missed the point of the users comment which is why you'd assume she later deleted the post. However later that day, after theshaderoom reshared the post, Ariana apologised in the comments, saying:
'Hi hi. I think her intention was to be like… yay a white person disassociating the negative stariotype [sic] that is paired with the word ‘weave'… however I'm so sorry my response was out of pocket or if it came across the wrong way. Thanks for opening the conversation and like… to everyone for talking to me about it. It's never my intention to offend anybody'
