For everyone who loves a good crime series, Netflix has a christmas present on the way just for you.

While we all wait for season 3 of Making A Murderer, Netflix has a new true crime doco to keep us all busy.

Based on the book The Innocent Man: Murder And Injustice In A Small Town, the new series will focus on two murders which took place in Ada, a small town in Oklahoma, in the 1980's.

Speaking of the six-part documentary, Director Tweel said:

"As a filmmaker I often find that the best stories are the ones we tell ourselves, but what surprised me was the extent to which that idea also permeates the criminal justice system.

By re-examining these old cases I hope that viewers will identify the biases involved, even their own."

John Grisham, author of the original book and attorny, also spoke of how excited he is to see the new series:

"The documentary series of The Innocent Man is gripping, compelling and ultimately just as heartbreaking as the book. Though I know the story well, I can’t wait to watch it again."
