So we've finally got Incredibles 2 and now there's news brand new Rugrats is coming...could 2018 get any better!?

That's right 90's babies, your dream of being able to watch the Rugrats and feel like a kid who doesn't need to worry about climate change, raising house prices, or have to decide what to do with your rest of your life...has finally come true.

Nickelodeon has announced the series has been giving a 26 episode greenlight as well as a live-action movie which will both still star Tommy, Chuckie, Phil, Lil, Susie, and Angelica.

Sarah Levy, COO of Viacom Media Networks and interim president of Nickelodeon, said in a statement:

Rugrats is hands-down one of the most celebrated cartoons in TV history, and we are thrilled for a whole new audience to meet these iconic characters in brand-new adventures.

What was true in 1991 when the original show premiered is still true today: kids are fascinated with the world of babies. We can't wait for today's kids to meet Tommy, Chuckie and pals.

According to E! News, production for the series and movie is already underway and while the airdate for the TV series is expected to be announced in the next few months, the movie, written by David Goodman, will be released November 13, 2020.
