Crime doco fans are obsessed with Netflix's "The Staircase"

Hi! It's us! The biggest fans of Netflix crime shows ever. And we're here to tell you about a new one you should be watching now you've finished Making a Murderer and Evil Genius

The show is called The Staircase. The mystery is spread out over 13 episodes and it’s a look inside a case that divided all of America.

It follows the story of that began when, in 2001, author Michael Peterson called 911 to say that his wife Kathleen had fallen down a set of stairs early in the morning.

Foul play was suspected by the police and so they launched a huge investigation into her death.

Peterson was then charged with murder and a LOT of information came to light during his trial.

The autopsy of his wife revealed that instead of suffering from a fall, she suffered a fracture of the thyroid neck cartilage and seven lacerations to the top and back of her head, consistent with blows from a light, yet rigid object.

A gift from the victim’s sister, a custom-made fireplace poker, was missing when the police searched the home.

Michael was the last to have seen her alive….

The doco gives an insight into everything that was happening with the family before and after the trial.

This sounds like a doco we need to binge immediately.
