Beer pong, Prince Charles in a dance off and more from Harry and Meghan's reception

scandal 22/05/2018

Now don't get us wrong but after the royal wedding, where the only excited part was watching everyone's reactions to the American preacher, we didn't have high hopes for the reception.

We thought it'd be filled with more boring speeches and awkward slience but from the sounds of things, it was lit AF.

The Mirror has shared all the need to know info from the couple's reception including Beer Pong and dance offs leaving us asking....why wasn't this live-streamed instead of the wedding!?

To kick off the reception, George Clooney got not only Meghan up for a dance, but also Kate Middleton. James Cordon also brought the fun to the reception by getting Prince Charles, Prince William, and Price Harry all up for the most royal dance off ever. 1 of the 200 guests at the reception talked about the dance off saying:

Everyone was laughing because it’s something no one expected. Meghan and her mom also joined in. Then everyone danced, which really kicked off the party.

The royal couple also threw a bit of a curve ball with the song choice for their first song. You'd think they'd have gone for something slow and traditional, but instead the went with the classic from Whitney Houston 'I wanna dance with somebody'.

It wasn’t traditional in the slightest. They went into a bit of a jive and a lindy hop.

The reception was also filled with burger stalls, a wiskey and cocktail bar with drinks dedicated to the royal family, candy floss, a DJ set from Idris Elba, and the party favourite...Beer Pong.

Serena Williams played beer pong like it was tennis. Everyone had so much fun with it, there were even fireworks.

Like any good reception, the couple gave their speeches for one another with Harry telling his friends "You are the people that make ‘me’ me in my Harry life, which as you know is the backbone to Prince Harry."

Meghan also gave an emotional speech by ending it with "I have found my prince."

Could these two be any cuter!?
