DJ and Music Producer Avicii (real name Tim Bergling) has died at the age of 28, after years of battling health problems.
The Swedish Superstar DJ found dead in Muscat, Oman on Friday afternoon (local time), his representative said in a statement.
The family is devastated and we ask everyone to please respect their need for privacy in this difficult time. No further statements will be given.
In 2016 he made the decision to retire from performing live after suffering acute pancreatitis and having his gall bladder and appendix removed.
"I know I am blessed to be able to travel all around the world and perform, but I have too little left for the life of a real person behind the artist," he said at the time.
He certainly will be missed. From the Team at The Edge, rest easy Avicii.
