Pixar's next short will be about a dumpling that comes to life

Great, eating dumplings is never going to be the same anymore because instead of thinking 'yum, can't wait to eat you', all we're going to see is this cute Pixar character...

But on the other hand, can you imagine how cute a lil'animated dumpling is going to be!?

This week Pixar announced that their next short 'Bao' will be about "an aging Chinese mom suffering from empty nest syndrome, [who] gets another chance at motherhood when one of her dumplings springs to life as a lively, giggly dumpling boy."

If you were thinking you weren't going to end up crying watching this, think again, because it's Pixar, there's always going to be a tear jerking moment in everything they make.

The short will then show the dumpling boy start to quickly grow up and how the mum will have to "come to the bittersweet revelation that nothing stays cute and small forever.”

Which, after that synopsis, has us feeling like:

The short will be the longest Pixar's ever made at 8 minutes and it's also the first female directed short they've had!

We're almost just as excited to see this as we are to finally see The Incredibles 2 when they both come out in June.
