Ed Sheeran says how much he loves New Zealand at Auckland show

Ed Sheeran said how much he loves New Zealand to thousands on Saturday night, telling fans "this is a country I have a lot of love for".

Ed's currently on a record-breaking six date Divide tour of the country, with three concerts at Auckland's Mt Smart Stadium before another three at Dunedin's Forsyth Barr Stadium.

During his first show, Ed told us all how much he loves NZ saying:

It's really good to be back in New Zealand - this is a country I have a lot of love for

I first came here, in - I think it was in 2011 or 2012. I was pushing a single at that time which had only been a hit in England. I kind of fell in love with this country and have kept coming back.

He also joked about how unfortunate the people were who hadn't memorised his lyrics.

"I hope you know the words - if you don't, it might be a long two hours."
