Kiwi NBA star Steven Adams has a history of getting kicked in the nether regions - today, he finally returned the favour.
Playing for the Oklahoma City Thunder against the Washington Wizards, Adams was scrambling for an offensive rebound, when he appeared to lash out with his foot, catching Wizards guard Bradley Beal in the groin.
Beal hit the ground in agony and Adams was adjudged a technical foul, although replays suggested he was being dragged down from behind by Washington counterpart Marcin "The Polish Hammer" Gortat.
Adams had 12 points/10 rebounds in the Thunder's 121-112 victory.
Of course, the Rotorua-born prodigy is no stranger to this particular indignity, more often falling victim to it.
Two years ago, Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green twice kicked Adams in the 'cajones' during the NBA playoffs, earning a one-game suspension that ultimately may have cost his team the championship.
Without Green, the Warriors lost what could have been the deciding game of their finals showdown against the Cleveland Cavaliers, who won three straight games to snatch the title.
