A new study has found that pizza is actually a healthier breakfast option than most cereals and we are definitely not going to argue with that.
Mainly because we'll take any excuse to eat a slice of pizza which some people might consider a problem but hey, that's an issue for another time.
For now though lets enjoy the fact that you don't have to feel as guilty eating your left over pizza in the mornings anymore thanks to this new study.
Dietician, Chelsey Amer, spoke with The Daily Meal saying:
You may be surprised to find out that an average slice of pizza and a bowl of cereal with whole milk contain nearly the same amount of calories.
However, pizza packs a much larger protein punch, which will keep you full and boost satiety throughout the morning.
In particular, according to the Chicago Tribune, most American cereals rarely contain any 'protein, healthy fats, or anything other than 'Spoonfuls of Sugar'But before you head down to Dominoes or Pizza Hut to stock up on breakfast, Chelsey mentioned a shocking fact that....are you ready?...pizza isn't a health food and probs isn't something you want to be eating ever morning.
Instead, just stick to having pizza on your Lazy Sunday mornings and for the rest of the week, treat yourself to some avo on toast or a some scambled eggs.
