15 foods that make you feel fuller longer

New research, published in the journal Molecular Metabolism, has found that there are actually certain foods that make you feel fuller and can help you lose weight, because of the chemical reaction they cause in the brain.

This sounds like a bit of us! Science has spoken.

According to The Telegraph, "researchers at The University of Warwick have identified the cells in the brain – called tanycytes – which detect nutrients in food and help trigger feelings of satiety."

These foods contain a specific type of amino acid that activates our tanycytes, which make us feel satisfied, and stop us from overeating.

The study also said that "the brain is a key player in energy homeostasis, and amino acids can have a satiating effect even when the digestive system is bypassed," which is a huge insight – especially when it comes to dropping weight – and actually keeping it off.

Now, we'll stop going on and give you the foods!
