The Washington University of Medicine did a study that found a compound in foods/drinks like black tean, red wine, and blueberries could prevent and battle flu symptoms.
The ooonly thing is this study was done on mice not humans, so they haven't found if humans get the same results, but tbh we'll take any excuse to way another glass of wine (and another cup of Lemsip).
The compound, known as 'clostridum orbisciden', can degrade flavonoids to create a metabolite that will boost an immune response and help get you through your flu. But if that's abit to science-y for you just take this one thing away:
If it works, great. If it doesn't, atleast you've got a glass of wine.
