"It's clearly fuckin' awesome."
Ed Sheeran has defended his Game of Thrones cameo, after being ripped to shreds by fans for making an appearance.
The cameo scene was debuted online earlier this week (see below), some fans expressed joy at the scene - but others were more disgusted with it than the extended sequence of Samwell cleaning up old men's faeces, graphically.
He was bombarded by an influx of mean tweets about the cameo, and within hours he announced that he was quitting Twitter. Ed has since spoken out about the cameo and the mean tweets, saying his decision to leave Twitter had NOTHING to do with the GOT hate.
He posted the below Instagram pic, with the following caption:
"Last i'll say on this. I came off Twitter Coz I was always intending to come off Twitter, had nothing to do with what people said about my game of thrones cameo, because I am in game of thrones, why the hell would I worry what people thought about that. It's clearly fuckin' awesome. Timing was just a coincidence, but believe what you want. Here is an unrelated picture of me and my wonderful manager riding off into the sunset together"
