Ariana Grande releases “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” cover as charity single

Ariana Grande has released "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" as part of her One Love Manchester album on Spotify to raise money for the victims of the May 22 bombing.

The pop star delivered a beautiful version of the Wizard of Oz song at the closing of her benefit concert, to the delight of fans around the world.

Ariana took to Twitter to announce the official release of the single, along with 38 other performances from the concert, which make up the One Love Manchester album, available on Spotify.

According to Ariana's mother Joan Grande, the song holds a special place in the singer’s heart because it was her grandfather’s favorite song.

“It’s an emotional story: my father passed away two and a half years ago, and that was the song she sang for him after he passed,” according to Joan.

Along with the album, Grande re-released her hit song "One Last Time," with proceeds also going towards the We Love Manchester Emergency Fund.

More than $13 million has been raised, with $3.5 million of that coming from the benefit concert.
