After receiving a tremendous amount of backlash, Pepsi have decided to pull their controversial protest advert with Kendall Jenner...
Pepsi released the controversial advert featuring Kendall Jenner as a protestor yesterday, which brought in a tremendous amount of backlash on social media.
The ad showed Kendall Jenner wearing a platinum blonde wig during a photoshoot, when she notices a group of protestors walk by.
She decided to stop the shoot, and join the protestors - it ends with her handing a police officer a can of Pepsi... and the protest ends.
Pepsi have since released an apology:
"Pepsi was trying to project a global message of unity, peace and understanding. Clearly, we missed the mark, and we apologize," the company said in a statement on Wednesday. "We did not intend to make light of any serious issue. We are pulling the content and halting any further rollout. We also apologize for putting Kendall Jenner in this position."
